Parties - Case Study
The Brief:
A knock ‘em dead Christmas party for 1200 people within 1 hours travel of the company’s office. The first time this company had done such an event so it had to be a real icebreaker.
The Options:
- Sit Down Dinner Dance
- Buffet style dancing through the ages
- Ready made London marquee themed event
The Decision:
The buffet style dancing through the ages at a local racecourse won the day due to its ideal location and the fact that it offered a superb selection of different dancing areas. A casual atmosphere where fun was of more importance than food.
The Evening:
Held across all three floors of the racecourse, the top floor was the sophisticated, relaxation area with:
- Jazz Band
- Crooner
- Casino Tables
- Caricaturist/Silhouettist/Palm Reader
The middle floor was transformed with sensational UV reactive draping into a 60’s&70’s area with classic disco complete with themed props and lighting.
The main event however was on the ground floor where a stunning stage area complete with 140 way lighting rig plus table spots again supported by full room draping to hide as much of the race hall as possible, provided a sensational backdrop for the following look-alike bands:
- Madonna
- Robbie Williams
- ABBA
The Result:
The evening worked to perfection with a flow of people across all floors but without doubt the highlight was the tremendous stage show on the ground floor.
